Method and system for estimation of mass and a center of gravity of a truck-trailer

A system includes at least one processor configured to: (i) determining a first distance between a center point of a wheel of an unloaded vehicle and a touch point on a ground surface of a first section of a driving path based on first sensor data of a first set of plurality of image sensors; (ii) determining a second distance between the center point and the touch point on the ground surface of the first section for the loaded vehicle based on second sensor data of the first set of plurality of image sensors; and (iii) based upon a difference between the first distance and the second distance, and characteristics of a respective tire of each wheel, determining a load at each wheel for determining a total mass of the vehicle and a first coordinates of a COG of the vehicle with respect to a front axle of the vehicle.

Spill pallet

ActiveUS12545473B2Rigid containersTruck-trailerMarine engineering
A spill pallet including: a continuous, unitary, liftable sump-defining base having a bottom, side walls extending from and surrounding the bottom and terminating in an upper edge, a plurality of risers extending from the bottom, and a rim formed in the side walls below the upper edge; and at least one drum-supporting grate that is supportable on the plurality of risers and the rim of the base. Two fork channels that are accessible from a side of the base have a fork cavity height and a fork cavity width sufficient to permit the spill pallet to be lifted by a standard fork lift truck or by a standard pallet jack. The bases are configured such that they are stackable on and partially nestable within identical bases to form stacks, which can be shipped side-by-side as a partial load within a truck, trailer or container.

Dock door automation system and method

A system and method are provided for automated engaging of a truck trailer at a loading dock. Sensors measure a distance and an angle of alignment between the incoming trailer and a wall of the loading dock. An outside lighting system guides a truck driver backing the trailer toward the dock door. A vehicle restraint system fixates the trailer within the loading dock in response to signals from the sensors. An overhead dock door opens once the trailer is successfully fixated by the vehicle restraint system. A dock leveler deploys after the overhead dock door opens. An inside dock light indicates to dock personnel that the trailer is ready to be serviced. Once servicing of the trailer is finished, an automated release of the trailer from the loading dock may be initiated by PLC communication.

The utility model discloses a multifunctional trailer and relates to the technical field of fire fighting trailers. The anti-loosening trailer comprises a trailer frame fixedly connected with a U-shaped plate and further comprises an anti-loosening assembly, the anti-loosening assembly comprises a rotating sleeve, the rotating sleeve is rotationally connected with the U-shaped plate, a sliding rod is slidably connected into the rotating sleeve, a plurality of anti-loosening blocks are slidably connected to the rotating sleeve, and lug plates are fixedly connected to the circumferential side face of the sliding rod. When a water hose is loaded, the pull ring is pulled to drive the loosening blocks to move into the rotating sleeve, at the moment, limiting on the gear is released, the gear is rotated to drive the two racks to clamp the water hose on the trailer frame, and after the pull ring is released, the water hose on the trailer frame can be loosened. The springs push the anti-loosening blocks to be inserted into the inserting grooves in the inserting frame, locking of the rotating sleeve is completed, and the situation that the water hose is loosened and falls off due to the fact that fastening is loosened in the transportation and rescue period can be avoided.

Truck Trailer Interface

A pneumatic brake system for a towing and towed vehicle includes means for supplying a supply pressure and means for supplying a control pressure to the towed vehicle. An electrical connection is provided between respective ECUs on the towing and towed vehicles which are able to exchange information and determine whether the brake system in both towed and towing vehicle is compatible with an electronic brake signal and whether the brake system is compatible with secondary supply pressure being applied via a control pressure line. If both conditions are fulfilled, the brake system actuates a switching device or devices on the towing and towed vehicles to direct air from the means for supplying a control pressure to a second pneumatic supply circuit in the towed vehicle.

3D-2D Vision System for Robotic Carton Unloading

Robotic carton loaders or unloaders combine 3D and 2D sensors to detect 3D point clouds and 2D images of carton stacks within transport vehicles such as truck trailers or shipping containers, respectively. Using the 3D point cloud, segments too small to be part of a product such as a carton are discarded to perform edge detection. Segments too large to correspond to a carton are processed by 2D image processing to detect additional edges. The results from 3D and 2D edge detection are transformed in the calibrated 3D space of the material carton loader or unloader to perform one of the loading or unloading of the transport vehicle. Image processing can also detect congestion in the product sequence from individual controllable sections of the conveyor of the robotic carton loader or unloader for individualized unloading.

A nonlinear truck trailer system fuzzy control method under a networked environment

The application provides a nonlinear truck trailer system fuzzy control method in a networked environment, comprising: modeling a nonlinear truck trailer system as a piecewise T-S fuzzy model, and designing a piecewise fuzzy state feedback controller with state adaptive saturation, and giving a controller design condition; designing a new piecewise event triggering mechanism, wherein an event triggering rule follows different space region information of state variables of the system model, and researching an event triggering fuzzy control scheme; the application gives a new event triggering control scheme, which can guarantee system stability in the case that the system is affected by outliers, and overcomes the problem that the event triggering mechanism and the controller need to be designed coordinately in the prior application; finally, the effectiveness of the technical method of the application is verified through an actual truck trailer system.
