Abstract

The invention is applicable to value added service (VAS) process of short message (SM) calling party and called party in PCS / fixed network / NGN network. The system includes short message value added platform (SMVP). SMVP is in use for storing signing info of VAS user in this service area, synchronizing user's signing symbol to short message service center (SMSC) user belongs to, and taking in charge of priority for processing each VAS, and implementing VAS. The signing info is in use for recording user's detailed signing record, and signing symbol of service records whether user has signed calling and called service. The invention also discloses method for processing short message value added service (SMVAS). Doing one time of modification, the invention makes SMSC support each class of SMVAS. Features are: separating process flow of SMVAS from basic flow of short message, increasing stability of SM system, extensibility of VAS, and saving cost of investment of operation manager.
