Abstract
The application relates to a method for preparing ABS-based composite material and a product thereof. In the method, ordinary ABS material is used as a base stock; magnesium hydrate is used as additive; and under a certain technical condition, the base stock and the additive are mixed and refined in the weight proportion of 10-50 portions to be made into ABS-based magnesium hydrate whisker composite material. The diameter of the magnesium hydrate whisker used in the method is required to be less than or equal to 0.5 micrometer, and the length diameter ratio is more than or equal to 50. Compared with pure ABS material, the prepared composite material has good flame retardance and smoke suppression performances, and the tensile strength and the elasticity modulus of the material are all improved greatly.
