Abstract

The invention discloses an allumel intermediate alloy and a preparation method thereof. The alloy is made of main ingredients and minor ingredients, wherein the main ingredients are primary aluminum liquid and metallic nickel, and the minor ingredients are a refining agent and a covering agent. The characteristic thereof lies in the alloy composition according to weight percentage: 99.96%-99.98% of nickel in the metallic nickel; 0.01%-0.1% of silicon, 0.001%-0.12% of ferric, and 99.97%-99.99% of aluminum in the primary aluminum liquid. The input amount of the alloy and the primary aluminum liquid (counted by 10T furnace) is as follows: 8T-9T of primary aluminum liquid, 0.96T-1.2T of metallic nickel, and proper amount of the refining agent and the covering agent. The advantage thereof is that the allumel intermediate alloy is produced by the method of using primary aluminum liquid to achieve the aim of energy saving and environment protection, thus remarkably reducing investment cost, shortening production period, simplifying production technique and lowering process cost.
