Abstract

A strap-shaped linetype ferrite phase shifter belongs to the technical field of micro-wave communication apparatuses and comprises: a rectangular cubic gyromagnetic ferrite material (1) which is internally cut with a cavity with communicated front and rear parts so as to form a closed magnetic loop, wherein the outer surface of the gyromagnetic ferrite material is printed with a silver electrode; and a rectangular medium substrate (2) the surface of which has two mutually parallel magnetizing current leads (3) and one bend type microstrip line used for shifting phase. The rectangular medium substrate is embedded in the cavity of the gyromagnetic ferrite material and insulating glue is filled between the periphery of the rectangular medium substrate and the gyromagnetic ferrite material. When the apparatus works, magnetizing current is exerted through the magnetizing current leads to magnetize the gyromagnetic ferrite, and the gyromagnetic ferrite works at remnant magnetism state after the magnetizing current is withdrawn; and microwave signals are connected between two terminal electrodes of the bend type microstrip line used for shifting phase to consequently generate nonreciprocal differential phase shift. The invention can strikingly reduce volume and mass of the ferrite phase shifter, thus being conducive to the realization for the integration of the phase shifter with other active / passive devices or components.
