Abstract

The invention provides a dimension measurement device for assembly with shaft of stepless transmission. The state of load bearing by the assembly with shaft is assumed, dimension of two parts spaced from each other along the axis direction is measured. The dimension measurement device is positioned between two bearings spaced from each other along the axis direction of the assembly with shafts. The dimension measurement device comprises a stage member having stage surface having bearing outer ring end surface for supporting the assembly body; a support having keeping surface in contact with the bearing outer ring end surface of the assembly; a gauge for limiting the dimension between the limiting stage and the support so that the keeping surface is in a predetermined reference height withrespect to the height of the stage surface. During the time that the outer ring end surface is held by the stage surface and the keeping surface, while external force is applied to the outer ring endsurface by the sole weight of the support, external force is applied to the outer ring end surface by the air cylinder, the lowering amount of the self-reference height of the keeping surface is measured by the digital gauge and the controller, and the dimension between parts is measured when external force is applied to the outer ring end surface from two directions.
