specific Embodiment 1

[0023] The first step: high concentration caustic soda swelling treatment

[0024] Swell the cotton fibers at room temperature with a concentrated caustic soda solution 20 times the mass of cotton gauze, the concentration of the caustic soda solution is 25% (mass percentage), and the treatment time is 15 minutes.

[0025] Step Two: Wash in Hot Water

[0026] Wash the cotton gauze with warm water at 40°C to remove a large amount of caustic soda remaining on the gauze.

[0027] Step 3: Acetic Acid Neutralization

[0028] The cotton gauze is acid-washed with 1.5% dilute acetic acid solution to neutralize the residual alkali.

[0029] Step Four: Wash in Cold Water

[0030] Continue to wash several times with cold water to make the cotton gauze neither acid nor alkali.

[0031] Step 5: Use natural antibacterial agent pomegranate peel extract for antibacterial finishing

[0032] The extraction method of pomegranate peel antibacterial agent of the present invention is based on t...

Abstract

The invention relates to a physical-chemical method for modifying ordinary medical degreased cotton gauze, which aims to improve the adsorption property and antibacterial property of the medical cotton gauze. The method mainly comprises the following technical steps of: degreasing the cotton gauze; swelling the degreased cotton gauze with high-concentration caustic soda; washing the swollen cotton gauze with hot water; neutralizing the washed cotton gauze with an acid; washing the neutralized cotton gauze with cold water; performing antibiotic finish on the washed cotton gauze with a pomegranate rind extract serving as a natural antibacterial agent; refrigerating the treated cotton gauze at a low temperature; and performing freeze drying on the refrigerated product. After loose cotton fiber is swollen by concentrated caustic soda solution (mass percent concentration is between 20 and 28 percent), gaps in the fiber are increased and enlarged, and tight macromolecules become loose, so that antibacterial active ingredients in the pomegranate rind extract which is safe, nontoxic and low-cost can be adsorbed on the cotton fiber, and the antibacterial property of the cotton gauze is improved. Drying is performed by freeze drying technology instead of the conventional drying or air drying, so that gaps formed in the swelling and refrigerating processes of the cotton fiber can be kept fully, and the adsorption property of the cotton fiber is improved.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a modification method of medical cotton gauze, in particular to a modification method for improving the adsorption and antibacterial properties of ordinary cotton medical gauze. It belongs to the technical field of natural fiber modification. Background technique [0002] Improve the antibacterial and adsorption properties of ordinary medical cotton gauze to reduce wound infection and accelerate wound healing. The invention patent (publication number CN1201696) relates to a processing method for antibacterial, hemostatic and non-adhesive wound dressings, which is to degrade the degreasing gauze by pickling, graft etherification, neutralization, washing, impregnating antibacterial agents and steam drying. Dry processing and other steps are completed. Invention patent (publication number: CN1348819) relates to frozen absorbent hemostatic cotton and its preparation method, which is to form hemostatic fiber fabric after natural s...
