Abstract

The present invention relates to a magnet assembly (1) for a transducer unitofthe type having a moving membrane and having a voice coil arranged into said magnet assem- bly,said magnet assembly comprising the components i) a T-yoke (2); and ii) a magnet system (4); and iii) a top plate (6). The magnet assembly according to theinvention has a specific design which provides for improved characteristics as to strength of B field in the gap between the top plate and the T-yoke, as well as to homogeneity of the B field in the gap and degree of symmetry in the roll-off behaviour of the B field in either axi- ally direction of the gap.
