Abstract

The invention discloses a call maintenance device in active / standby switching of internet protocol (IP) voice equipment, which comprises a media address unit configuration module, a media address unit address resolution protocol (ARP) packet trigger module and a media resource processing unit ARP packet trigger module, wherein the media address unit configuration module is used for configuring the same media IP address and the same media access control (MAC) address for active / standby media address conversion units, and dividing an internal virtual local area network (VLAN) and an external VLAN; the media address unit ARP packet trigger module is used for triggering a new active media address conversion unit during active / standby switching to broadcast free ARP packets through the internal and external VLANs; and the media resource processing unit ARP packet trigger module is used for triggering a media resource processing unit during active / standby switching to broadcast the free ARP packets. The IP voice service of two call ends is recovered by learning the MAC address of the opposite party. The invention simultaneously discloses a corresponding call maintenance method in the active / standby switching of the IP voice equipment. By adopting the scheme, the device and the method realize basically no damage to the call in the active / standby switching process of the IP voice equipment, and improve the instantaneity and the reliability of voice service.
