The composition contains Korean angelica extract which is curative for gout, can inhibit the production of xanthine oxidase (xanthine oxidase), and reduce uric acid in blood or urine, and the invention also relates to a composition for preventing gout inflammation . The composition contains an extract of Angelica sinensis which has an inhibitory effect on the inflammation-inducing enzyme Cox-2. The Korean angelica extract of the present invention is a liquid concentrate whose main components are more than 98% by weight of procurantin and angelica ester of purpurin. For the convenience of human consumption, only water and ethanol are used as solvents during the extraction process of the Korean angelica extract of the present invention. In addition, in order to improve the purity, a refining method using temperature and solubility difference is also adopted.
