Abstract

The invention provides a novel application of triclosan as a synergist of an antifungal agent fluconazole, wherein fungi are Candida albicans. Through the standard microdilution method drug susceptibility tests recommended by CLSI (Clinical Laboratory and Standards Institute), in combination with checkerboard microdilution method, time-kill curve, in vitro agar diffusion tests and other series methods, the study evaluates the in vitro sensitivity of triclosan to clinically-isolated drug-resistant Candida albicans, and meanwhile evaluates the in vitro synergetic action of triclosan and fluconazole against clinically drug-resistant fungi.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the application of triclosan and fluconazole in combination to enhance the antifungal effect of fluconazole. Background technique [0002] At present, it is believed that there are more than 300 kinds of fungi that harm humans and cause diseases. In the past two decades, fungal infections that have seriously endangered human life and health have been increasing both in terms of incidence and types of infections, especially in immunosuppressed patients. Among human fungal infections, the most important opportunistic pathogen is Candida albicans (C. albicans), which can cause from chronic skin infections to life-threatening systemic fungal infections. Pathogenic fungi not only have the general characteristics of fungi, but also from the perspective of medical microbiology, they are usually a type of fungi that can invade the human body and cause diseases in superficial and deep tissues. In addition, some fungi can also stimulat...
