Abstract

The invention discloses a calculation method for propagation delay of electromagnetic waves in planar three-layer dielectrics. The calculation method is characterized in that propagation delay of the electromagnetic waves in a first dielectric layer and a second dielectric layer from the position of an antenna to a certain point C on an interface of the second dielectric layer and a third dielectric layer is obtained according to a hyperbola wavefront approximation theory; total one-way propagation delay can be changed along with movement of the point C on the interface of the second dielectric layer and the third dielectric layer; and the minimum propagation delay can be obtained by the aid of a one-dimension search or mathematic analysis method to be used as an estimated value of actualpropagation delay. By the aid of the method, a traditional two-dimension search method or a calculation method for solving simultaneous quartic equations in two unknowns is avoided, calculation is greatly reduced, calculation precision of propagation delay is guaranteed, and the calculation method is applicable to real-time imaging processing of ground penetrating radars.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention belongs to the technical field of ground-penetrating radar imaging, and relates to a calculation method for electromagnetic wave propagation time delay in a plane three-layer medium. Background technique [0002] Ground penetrating radar is an effective non-destructive detection technology. It emits electromagnetic waves to the detection area and receives scattered echoes through airspace scanning, which can realize imaging processing inside unknown areas and obtain hidden target parameters in unknown areas, that is, target distribution information and scattering intensity information, which can be effectively used in municipal engineering and archaeology. , mine detection, anti-terrorism and other occasions. [0003] There are many imaging methods for ground penetrating radar. The back-projection imaging algorithm based on "delay-accumulation" processing is suitable for imaging processing of point scattering targets in layered media und...
