The method comprises the following steps of: measuring the volume V of free water discharged from a cabin by the adoption of a flow meter, and collecting a free water sample by adopting a free water pipeline sampling device in a free water discharging process; measuring the flow amount of the free water by arranging an electromagnetic flow meter, which has a temperature compensation function and is capable of determining turbid liquid, at an inlet position of a water discharge pipeline; realizing the switching between a water discharging state and a sampling state through a three-way ball valve and a butterfly valve; carrying out linkage between a driven shaft and a crank shaft which are fixedly arranged on a sampling barrel support through a gear meshing way; further controlling a sampling barrel to collect a plurality of free water samples from a sampling opening within the required time, conveying the free water samples to a laboratory to carry out the measurement of density rou of the free water samples and the weight percentage P of ore particles after being fully and uniformly mixed, and then calculating the weight F of the free water in the cabin; and accurately obtaining the weight of the free water under the condition of continual free water discharging.
