A backlight module and a liquid crystal display device. The backlight module comprises an optical film (21), light sources (22 and 23), a reflector hood (25), and reflective faces (241 and 242). The reflective faces (241 and 242) and the optical film (21) are symmetrically arranged opposite the light sources (22 and 23) and are arranged on the same side of the light sources (22 and 23). The reflector hood (25) comprises a first reflective layer (251) and a second reflective layer (252). The reflective faces (241 and 242) are of a preset trajectory corresponding to the first reflective layer (251) and the light sources (22 and 23).
