Abstract

The invention discloses a maximum power point tracking (MPPT) controller for a solar photovoltaic system. The MPPT controller comprises a temperature sensor module, a control module, a memory module and a counter module, wherein the memory module receives data transmitted by the temperature sensor module and voltage and current data transmitted by the control module, looks up a local data table and finds out duty ratio data required for adjusting the current operating point to the maximum power point; and the counter module outputs a square wave which corresponds to a duty ratio to a driving circuit module according to the duty ratio data. By the control method of the MPPT controller, due to a method for looking up the data table, the position of the maximum power point is not required to be calculated or searched on site, and the duty ratio of a direct current-direct current (DCDC) circuit is adjusted at a time by utilizing the position of the calculated maximum power point in the table, so that a solar cell works in a maximum power point state. The power loss caused by continuous tracking or on-site calculation is avoided, and the circuit share complexity is effectively reduced.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the technical field of solar cells, in particular to an MPPT controller of a solar photovoltaic system and a control method thereof. Background technique [0002] Most of today's photovoltaic systems form photovoltaic arrays by connecting solar panels in series and in parallel. However, when non-ideal conditions such as solar panels are in a shaded state or the solar panels do not match, the output power of the photovoltaic array will be greatly attenuated. Therefore, adding a maximum power point tracking MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) controller to the photovoltaic system can realize the maximum power output of the photovoltaic system. The best situation is to place the MPPT controller behind each solar cell module. On the one hand, try to avoid the appearance of multiple peaks in the photovoltaic curve, and on the other hand, it can maximize the output power of the system. [0003] At present, most MPPT controllers are ...
