Abstract

The invention relates to an overhead orchid potting method. The method is characterized in that a transplantation bed is built by steel, wherein a vertical support is 60-80cm high, the support interval is 4m, the transverse bed frame is 120cm wide, and a fine cross beam interval is 16-28cm; the culture medium can be single medium namely tree barks or crude coco chafe, or compound medium containing alder tree barks, mud carbon, coco chafe and chestnut barks which are mixed according to a volume ratio of 1:1:2:1; the controlled release fertilizer containing N, P and K with the volume ratio of 4:3:3 is used in seedling period and vegetative growth period; the controlled release fertilizer containing N, P and K with the volume ratio of 3:5:6 is used in early flowering period and flowering period; and compound organic fertilizer is prepared by mixing animal manure, oil cake and bone meal according to a proportion of 2:3:5, and fermenting for 30 days. According to the invention, a flowerpot is suspended on the ground by the bracket and the bed frame in a supporting manner, thus being more beneficial to ventilation and drainage; the medium, and organic and inorganic compound fertilizers applicable to different growth periods are selected, thus obtaining high-quality and high-yield orchids.
