Abstract

The invention discloses a composition for producing a starch-based biodegradable sheet. The composition is prepared with the components in part by weight as follows: 100 parts of starch, 1 to 2 parts of titanium dioxide, 0.05 to 0.25 parts of coupling agent, 0.5 to 1.0 part of lubricant, 1 to 3 parts of granularity polymerization inhibitor, 2 to 8 parts of plasticizer, and 150 to 220 parts of polystyrene, wherein the starch can be the maize starch or the potato starch; the coupling agent can be the titanic acid ester coupling agent or the silane coupling agent; the lubricant can be stearic acid, and the polyethylene wax or oxidic polyethylene; the granularity polymerization inhibitor can be the anionic surface active agent; and the plasticizer can be dioctyl phthalate or polyol benzoate. Compared with the sheet including talcum powder and calcium carbonate, the sheet prepared with the composition has the degradation velocity increased by 20 to 30%, and is environmental-friendly.
