Disclosed is a small-sized light source device which can be used in quantum cipher communication. The disclosed light source device comprises: a first reflector having a reflection rate of R1; a second reflector, which is arranged so as to face the first reflector and which has a reflection rate of R2 (R2<R1); a laser medium, which is disposed between the first reflector and the second reflector; and an excitation source which is for exciting the laser medium. Therein, the reflection rate R1 is set so that the photon number of the laser having penetrated the first reflector is one per pulse.
