Abstract

The invention discloses a method and equipment used for collecting seismic data and belongs to marine seismic exploration methods and systems. The equipment comprises independent seabed containers with continuous recording effect and is characterized in that the equipment has a shallow section case body and an outer buffer cushion for promoting seabed coupling and preventing a fishnet from twisting, and the individual containers are tied together through flexible, non-rigid and non-conductive cables to control the arrangement of the container. The containers are placed or taken back from the deck of a ship, and the deck is configured to have a storage system and a processing system and can allow the containers to be fixed to the cables during operation. The storage system has a grooved automatic phonograph-like configuration in which the individual containers are randomly stored in the grooves; and the data extraction, charging, test and synchronous operations can be performed under the condition that the containers are not opened. Each container can comprise an inertial navigation system to determine the seabed position and a rubidium clock for timing purpose. The system comprises a mathematical gimbal. The cables can comprise shear coupling and are designed to automatically cut off when the cable tension reaches a certain level.
