Embodiment Construction

[0082] In the detailed description of the present invention, the same reference numerals are used to designate the same components, and various components such as fixing parts, assembly parts, etc. may be omitted for simplicity of description. However, those skilled in the art will understand that such common components can be used as desired.

[0083] refer to figure 1 , figure 1 A seismic data collection system or container 10 of the present invention is shown. The container 10 is constituted by a watertight tank 12 having side walls 14 defining an inner watertight compartment 16 . In the compartment 16 at least a geophone 18 , a clock 20 , a power source 22 , a control mechanism 23 and a seismic data recorder 24 are arranged. In this embodiment, vessel 10 is a self-contained vessel, so power source 22 can meet all of the power needs of vessel 10 . In particular, power source 22 provides full power to the subsea deployed seismic data collection system. Likewise, the con...

Abstract

The invention discloses a method and equipment used for collecting seismic data and belongs to marine seismic exploration methods and systems. The equipment comprises independent seabed containers with continuous recording effect and is characterized in that the equipment has a shallow section case body and an outer buffer cushion for promoting seabed coupling and preventing a fishnet from twisting, and the individual containers are tied together through flexible, non-rigid and non-conductive cables to control the arrangement of the container. The containers are placed or taken back from the deck of a ship, and the deck is configured to have a storage system and a processing system and can allow the containers to be fixed to the cables during operation. The storage system has a grooved automatic phonograph-like configuration in which the individual containers are randomly stored in the grooves; and the data extraction, charging, test and synchronous operations can be performed under the condition that the containers are not opened. Each container can comprise an inertial navigation system to determine the seabed position and a rubidium clock for timing purpose. The system comprises a mathematical gimbal. The cables can comprise shear coupling and are designed to automatically cut off when the cable tension reaches a certain level.

Description

[0001] This application is a divisional application with the filing date of September 21, 2004, the application number of 200480044393.0, and the title of the invention "Method and Equipment for Seismic Data Acquisition". technical field [0002] The invention relates to the field of seismic exploration. More particularly, the present invention relates to methods and apparatus for seismic surveys, and more particularly, the present invention relates to marine seismic surveys utilizing seafloor seismometer systems. Background technique [0003] Seismic surveys typically use seismic energy to generate an acoustic signal that propagates into the soil and is detected by subsurface seismic reflectors (ie, interfaces between subsurface lithologic or fluid layers characterized by differing elasticities). ground reflection. Seismic receivers located at or near the Earth's surface detect and record the reflected signal (called a "seismic reflection"), resulting in subsurface seismic...
