The measurement process is as Figure 4 As shown, its hardware structure is as follows Figure 5 As shown, under the condition that the detector high voltage, amplifier magnification, time constant and other parameters remain unchanged, the loading 241 Am-Be Isotope Neutron Source Measurement 3 Pulse amplitude spectrum of He proportional counter tube (hardware structure such as Figure 5 As shown in a), the result is as Figure 6 shown. The neutron signal is located on the right side of the spectrum, and the noise (gamma noise and electronic noise) is located on the left side of the spectrum. There is a region with a low count between the neutron signal and the noise, called the count valley (such as Figure 6 shown). The ...

Abstract

The invention belongs to the technical field of nuclear radiation measurement and specifically relates to a method and system for detecting the discrimination threshold of a pulse-amplitude discriminator. The method comprises the following steps of: measuring the pulse amplitude spectrum of a nuclear radiation detector by using a multi-channel pulse amplitude analyzer, determining a point M corresponding to the discrimination threshold in the pulse amplitude spectrum, substituting a cross coordination channel address m' corresponding to the discrimination point M in a multi-channel pulse amplitude analyzer channel address, calculating out the best threshold value A' in coordination with the voltage value transformation formula, and adjusting the threshold value of the discriminator to be the best threshold value A'. According to the invention, the threshold value detection is performed by using the pulse amplitude spectrum; and compared with the traditional detection method in which an integral curve is used, the method provided by the invention has the following advantages of short measurement time and high accuracy.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention belongs to the technical field of nuclear radiation measurement, and in particular relates to a method and system for measuring a discrimination threshold of a pulse amplitude discriminator. Background technique [0002] Research in the nuclear field revolves around microscopic particles such as neutrons, protons, α-rays, β-rays, γ-rays, heavy particles and X-rays. The size of these microscopic particles is 10 -15 The magnitude of m and below cannot be directly observed by the human eye, and it needs to be detected by a special nuclear radiation detector. Nuclear radiation detectors and subsequent nuclear electronics systems convert these microscopic particle signals into observable electrical signals. The measurement of nuclear radiation intensity is one of the routine work of nuclear radiation detection. Most nuclear radiation detections are accompanied by noise signals. In order to eliminate noise signals and obtain pure nuclear sign...
