Benefits of technology

This patented technology has several benefits that make it better for people who wear clothes made from them than traditional methods like dying or printing with dyestuffs. It does these things naturally but doesn't cause any negative side-effects such as skin rashes when used over noniron materials. Additionally, there was less chemistry needed compared to other techniques while making sure they were effective at producing good results. Overall, this new method offers more eco friendly options for creating high-quality garments.

Problems solved by technology

This patented technical solution described in this patents relates to improving the quality and safety performance of dyed materials like denims' clothing without causing negative side impacts upon human bodies due to excessive usage of synthetic organic compounds during production processes.

Embodiment 1

[0021] A preparation method of natural vegetable indigo dye, comprising the following steps:

[0022] In the first step, one or more branches and leaves of Polygonum indigo, Isatis indigo, Mulan, Malan and Kale are harvested, and the branches and leaves are put into a pond filled with water to ferment for 5 days;

[0023] In the second step, drop lime powder into the pond;

[0024] In the third step, stirring the lime powder makes it precipitate into a slurry;

[0025] In the fourth step, the slurry is filtered to remove impurities to obtain natural plant indigo dye.

Embodiment 2

[0027] Difference with embodiment 1 is exactly that the fermentation time in the first step is 7 days, and what drop into in the pond in the second step is the sharp shell powder. The rest of the same content will not be repeated here.

Embodiment 3

[0029] Difference with embodiment 1 is exactly that the fermentation time in the first step is 6 days, what drop into in the pond in the second step is the shell powder, and the temperature in the pond is controlled at about 20-30 degrees centigrade. The rest of the same content will not be repeated here.

Abstract

The invention belongs to the technical field of natural dyeing, and particularly relates to a preparation method and application of a natural plant dye. The invention provides a preparation method of a natural plant indigotin dye, which comprises the following steps: 1. cutting bluegrass branches and leaves, adding the bluegrass branches and leaves into a water-containing container, and fermenting for 5-7 days; 2. adding lime or oyster shell powder into the container; 3. stirring the lime or oyster shell powder to precipitate into a slurry; and 4. filtering the slurry to remove impurities and water to obtain the natural plant indigotin dye. The invention also provides application of the natural plant indigotin dye in warp dyeing of denim fabric weaving. The dyed warp is sized by a colorless plant starch slurry.
