Embodiment 1

[0023] The ladle covering agent given in this example, in 100 parts by weight, is composed of the following raw materials: 40 parts of blast furnace slag, 37.5 parts of limestone, 17.5 parts of vermiculite, and 5 parts of fluorite.

[0024] The preparation method for preparing the ladle covering agent is carried out according to the following steps:

[0025] (1) Crushing and grinding each raw material to make the particle size within 3mm.

[0026] (2) Weigh each raw material according to the composition weight of the raw material, then mix for 10-20 minutes, stir well, and dry.

[0027] When in use, the ladle covering agent in this embodiment is selected and packaged in a bag of every 20kg. According to the size of the ladle, the amount of the ladle covering agent added is different. After the ladle covering agent is added, a slag layer is formed, and finally the thickness of the slag layer is 6-8 cm. The layers are not crusted.

Abstract

The invention provides a ladle covering agent prepared through utilizing blast furnace slag. The ladle covering agent is composed of 30-40 parts by weight of blast furnace slag, 26.7-40 parts by weight of limestone, 15-20 parts by weight of vermiculite and 5-15 parts by weight of fluorite, wherein the total weight part of the above raw materials is 100. The main raw materials of the ladle covering agent have the advantages of low cost, suitable melting point, short fusing time and good spreadability; and limestone decomposes at 800-1200DEG C, foams and expands, vermiculite expands at a high temperature, and the friction force among solid particles is lower than the inner friction force among powders, so the spreadability and the heat insulating property are good. The ladle covering agent can prevent the secondary oxidation and too large temperature decrease of molten steel, and has a certain impurity adsorption and inclusion capability to purify the molten steel because of the appropriate alkalinity. The ladle covering agent has no carbon, does not carburize the molten steel, and is in favor of the component control of the production process.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention belongs to the field of metallurgy and relates to a ladle covering agent, in particular to a ladle covering agent prepared by using blast furnace slag. Background technique [0002] The steel ladle is mainly used to store and transport molten steel and maintain the temperature of the molten steel. Due to the development of the continuous casting process, the residence time of the molten steel in the ladle will be prolonged. In order to meet the technological requirements of the subsequent processes, how to maintain the temperature of the molten steel in the ladle and increase The quality of molten steel becomes the main problem. Therefore, in order to prevent the secondary oxidation of molten steel in the ladle, reduce the temperature drop of molten steel, provide molten steel with a suitable temperature for continuous casting, and ensure its smooth pouring, the role of thermal insulation covering agent is very important. [0003] Ladle ...
