The method includes steps of 1), selecting sweet potato seeds with uniform sizes, and soaking the sweet potato seeds in uniconazole with the concentration of 1-3% by 10-30 minutes; 2), airing the sweet potato seeds until moisture on surfaces of the sweet potato seeds is dry, placing the sweet potato seeds in a cellar to store the sweet potato seeds in the cellar, and spraying carbendazol wettable powder into the cellar before the sweet potato seeds are stored in the cellar; 3), closing the cellar for 1-3 days when the sweet potato seeds are stored in the cellar, then opening the cellar to ventilate the cellar, stabilizing the temperature of air inside the cellar within the range of 10-18 DEG C, stabilizing the humidity of the inside of the cellar within the range of 80-90%, and timely soaking the sweet potato seeds in gibberellin solution when needed so as to break dormancy of the sweet potato seeds.
