The steam-electric coal drying system comprises a boiler, a turbomachine, a power generator, a drying tower, a cooling device and a cooling tower, the boiler is used for providing steam and high-temperature waste gas with the oxygen content smaller than 6%, the turbomachine is communicated to the boiler to be pushed by the steam to run, the power generator is linked to the turbomachine to be driven by the turbomachine to generate power, the cooling device is communicated to the turbomachine to enable the steam extracted by a medium-pressure section of the turbomachine to generate cooled gas through heat exchange, the drying tower is communicated to the boiler to utilize the high-temperature waste gas to dry brown coal conveyed into the drying tower to change the brown coal into high-temperature dry coal with the total water content smaller than 25%, and the cooling tower is communicated to the cooling device to utilize the cooled gas to cool the high-temperature dry coal conveyed into the cooling tower to change the high-temperature dry coal into normal-temperature cooled dry coal.
