Abstract

The invention provides a radio frequency unit, a baseband processing unit and a base station system. The radio frequency unit includes: a conversion unit for acquiring uplink time-domain signal data and transforming it into uplink frequency-domain signal data; a compression unit for compressing uplink frequency-domain signal data using a compression algorithm; a decompression unit for for acquiring compressed downlink signal data and decompressing it; the inverse transformation unit is used for obtaining downlink time-domain signal data by inversely transforming the decompressed downlink signal data. The baseband processing unit includes: a decompression module, which acquires the compressed uplink signal data and decompresses it; and a compression module, which uses a compression algorithm to compress the downlink frequency domain signal data and transmits it to the radio frequency unit. By using the radio frequency unit and the baseband processing unit, the amount of transmitted data and bandwidth pressure in the base station system can be reduced.
