Abstract

According to the detection method, a high-performance liquid chromatography-electrospray ionization-tandem mass spectrometry (HPLC-ESI-MS) is utilized for detecting the content of the effective constituents, namely icariin and epimidin c, in the cigarette tobacco shreds and the main stream smoke of the cigarettes. The detection method sequentially comprises the following steps: (1) selecting and balancing the cigarettes; (2) preparing a reference substance solution; (3) preparing a cigarette tobacco shred sample solution; (4) preparing a sample solution in the main stream smoke of the cigarettes; and (5) carrying out HPLC-ESI-MS analysis on a to-be-analyzed sample. According to the detection method, the effective constituents of the epimedium in the cigarette tobacco shreds and the main stream smoke of the cigarettes can be effectively and completely extracted, and the content of the effective constituents of the epimedium in the cigarette tobacco shreds and the main stream smoke of the cigarettes can be accurately measured.
