Abstract

The invention discloses application of dicyclomine hydrochloride in the preparation of a drug for treating or preventing influenza virus infection. Firstly, the toxicity effect of dicyclomine hydrochloride on an MDCK (Madin Darby Canine Kidney) cell is detected, and the result shows that the maximum non-toxic concentration of the dicyclomine hydrochloride is 50.0 MuM; secondly, the antivirus activity of the dicyclomine hydrochloride is measured within a completely non-toxic concentration range, and the result shows that the small molecular compound has remarkable antivirus activity, and the antiviral effect has a dosage dependence effect; finally, the activity of the dicyclomine hydrochloride for resisting different types and subtypes of influenza viruses is detected, and the result shows that the dicyclomine hydrochloride can resist the copy of all detected influenza virus strains in a dosage dependence manner and the influenza virus resistance activity of the dicyclomine hydrochloride is broad-spectrum.
