Abstract

The invention discloses a high voltage pulse modulator klystron protector, comprising a driver and a detection circuit, wherein the driver and the detection circuit are connected in series between an ignitron G2 and a transformer; the current data of a klystron G1 are collected in real time through the transformer, and sent to the detection circuit; when the detection circuit detects that the current of the klystron G1 exceeds a predetermined threshold, the detection circuit triggers the driver to generate high voltage to break over the ignitron G2, and the energy of an energy storage capacitor C1 is discharged through R1 and the ignitron G2. According to the high voltage pulse modulator klystron protector, the pulse anodizing current is sampled through the current transformer, a driving signal required for the triggering of the driver is also monitored and generated through the current transformer, and the ignitron is driven by the driver to break over and discharge high-voltage capacitive stored energy; as an optical signal is adopted as the driving signal generated after current detection, the work stability is comparatively high, and the spurious triggering probability is decreased greatly.
