A slide guide that is made of an HT200 or HT300 cast iron material of a precision machine tool is subjected to surface high-frequency heating and quenching. The two ends of the slide guide (1) are fixed and a pressing force is applied on the middle part of a surface (5). The size of the pressing force is based on that the degree of deformation of the middle part of the guide is 1 mm. Then the slide guide is subjected to surface high-frequency induction quenching.
