Embodiment Construction

[0042] The present invention will be further described below in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.

[0043] Such as image 3 Shown is the operating process based on the embodiment of the present invention, including the following steps:

[0044] Step (1), segmenting the aorta and heart regions in the CT contrast-enhanced image. Since the images to be processed may be images acquired by different devices or using different imaging parameters, some necessary preprocessing steps are required, including the following steps:

[0045] (a) Using the method in the paper "Automatic centerline extraction of coronary arteries in coronary computed tomographic angiography" published by G. Yang et al., Int. J. Cardiovasc. Imaging. 28 (4), 921-933 (2012) in CT angiography The aorta is detected in the image, as in Figure 4 shown on the left, and according to the location of the aorta ( Figure 4 The position of the solid line circle in ) defines a cylinder with a radius of 10 cm...

Abstract

The invention discloses a full-automatic CT image coronary artery calcification score calculating method. The method includes the steps that a heart and an aorta area are divided by using coronary artery CT contrastographic images of the same patient; the central axis of each coronary artery is extracted and named; the results are mapped to a common CT image through image registration to generate regions of interest used for detecting calcification points, and therefore the calcification points on blood vessel walls of the coronary arteries in the CT image can be positioned accurately. In addition, the calcification points belonging to different main branches of the coronary arteries can be differentiated by using the naming results of the central axes of the coronary arteries. The accuracy of coronary artery calcification score calculation and the efficiency of computer-aided diagnosis can be effectively improved through the method.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the technical field of image processing, in particular to the automatic calculation of coronary artery calcification scores for CT images. Background technique [0002] Coronary heart disease is a serious disease that threatens human health. For many years, coronary heart disease has been ranked among the top causes of human death both at home and abroad. Calcifications located on coronary arteries are an important clinical symptom of coronary heart disease. Correct identification of calcifications and the severity of calcifications will help to accurately diagnose coronary heart disease and formulate a final treatment plan. According to the diagnostic criteria of cardiovascular CT images proposed by the International Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography (see the paper "SCCT guidelines for the interpretation and reporting of coronary computed tomographic angiography" published by Raff, G.L. et al., Journal of Cardiovas...
