The invention discloses a compound bactericide for preventing and treating rice sheath blight. The compound bactericide is prepared from albendazole and azoxystrobin as base materials according to a mass ratio of albendazole to azoxystrobin of 5: 1 to 1: 3. Preferably, a mass ratio of albendazole to azoxystrobin is 5: 1. The albendazole is submicron powder of a raw drug having a mass fraction of 98.9% and the azoxystrobin is a raw drug having a mass fraction of 98.21%. The two reaction base materials in the compound bactericide do not undergo a chemical reaction and produce obvious synergism or combined effects and thus the compound bactericide is safe in use and has good poisoning activity to different types of rice sheath blight fungi in the field, wherein the poisoning activity is obviously higher than that of an albendazole or azoxystrobin single agent. The compound bactericide is suitable for preventing and treating rice sheath blight in the vast rural areas.
