Abstract

The present invention discloses a power supply system which is capable of maintaining a high conversion rate for different loads. The power supply system comprises an input stage circuit, a front stage boosting circuit, a power stage circuit with a transformer, and a power factor controller which is in electrical connection with the front stage boosting circuit and carries out power factor control, the front stage boosting circuit increases the input voltage and outputs a front stage voltage to the transformer, the power stage circuit generates an output voltage. The power supply system also comprises a detection load circuit and a voltage adjusting device, wherein the detection load circuit is coupled to the primary side of the transformer of the power stage circuit to obtain a load voltage which is proportional to the load, and the voltage adjusting device decreases or increases the front stage voltage according to the load represent by the load voltage and the input voltage. Compared with the prior art, the front stage voltage of the power supply system can be adjusted automatically, a certain conversion efficiency is maintained in full load, light load or middle load, and the conversion efficiency in light load or middle load is better than that in the prior art.
