Abstract

The invention belongs to the field of design and research of passenger vehicle power systems, and particularly relates to a method for controlling the fuel consumption of a passenger vehicle. The method comprises the following steps: determining the speed ratio constraint condition of a gearbox; setting the initial speed ratio of the gearbox; determining a uniform speed which is frequently used of the passenger vehicle in a normal driving process; calculating the rotating speed and the torque of an engine under a common working condition; judging whether working condition points are positioned in a fuel consumption economical area or not, if not, drawing a equipower line on a fuel consumption contour map of the engine, translating the working condition points along the equipower line till each working condition point enters the fuel consumption economical area, reading the rotating speed and the torque of each translated working condition point on the fuel consumption contour map of the engine; calculating the optimized speed ratio of the gearbox; comparing the speed ratio of the gearbox with the speed ratio constraint condition, wherein if the constraint condition is satisfied, the fuel consumption is optimal. In combination with an NEDC (New European Driving Cycle), a working condition having greatest contribution to the fuel consumption is found in a vehicle driving process, and the fuel consumption under the working condition is optimized, so that the fuel saving performance of the whole vehicle is enhanced. On a perfect theoretical basis, the fuel consumption of the vehicle is optimized, so that the power performance of the whole vehicle is not influenced in an optimization process.
