Abstract

The invention discloses an indefinite-chilled double-poured cast iron (ICDP) roller containing V and a production technique thereof. A working layer of the ICDP roller is made of high-nickel-chromium indefinite-chilled cast iron containing V, and a core of the ICDP roller is made of excessively high-strength alloy nodular cast iron. The working layer of the ICDP roller is prepared from, by mass, 3.0%-3.4% of C, 0.6%-1.2% of Si, 0.4%-1.0% of Mn, 0%-0.08% of P, 0%-0.03% of S, 4.0%-4.5% of Ni, 1.6%-2.0% of Cr, 0.2%-0.6% of Mo, 0.7%-0.8% of V and the balance iron and inevitable impurity elements. The ICDP roller containing V is different from an existing improved ICDP roller strengthened through V and Nb together in that only the V element is added for strengthening; through micro hardness detection, it can be detected that the hardness of VC and VN is higher than that of the mixed carbide of NbC and NbN and is also higher than that of the mixed carbide of Nb and V, namely the ICDP roller containing the V has higher abrasion resistance and hardness compared with the existing ICDP roller containing V and Nb, and it is guaranteed that a finish rolling front rack is matched with a finish rolling rear rack. Through practical use of steel rolling enterprises, it is proved that the ICDP roller is excellent in use effect, and the abrasion resistance and the accident preventing capacity of the roller are remarkably improved compared with ordinary rollers.
