Abstract

The invention discloses a driving system for an LCD. The driving system comprises a sequential control circuit (600) for storing data converted into gamma voltage and generating data converted into pixel gray-scale referential voltage, and a data drive circuit (500) which receives the data converted into gamma voltage and the data converted into pixel gray-scale referential voltage from the sequential control circuit (600), converts the data converted into gamma voltage and the data converted into pixel gray-scale referential voltage into gamma voltage and pixel gray-scale referential voltage respectively, and conducts gamma correction on the converted pixel gray-scale referential voltage through the converted gamma voltage to obtain the pixel gray-scale voltage. The invention further discloses a driving method for the LCD and the LCD. The LCD can conduct gamma correction while eliminating P-Gamma circuit, thereby substantially lowering the cost and sharpening the market competitive edge.
