Abstract

The invention relates to a high-modulus asphalt mixture and a preparation method thereof. The high-modulus asphalt mixture is prepared from components of raw materials in percentage by mass as follows: 75%-90% of aggregate, 1.5%-6% of mineral powder, 1.5%-5% of matrix asphalt and 0.015%-0.5% of a high-modulus additive. According to the high-modulus asphalt mixture, residues obtained after direct coal liquefaction can be turned into valuables, the pavement performance of the asphalt mixture can meet the performance requirements of a hot-mixed modified asphalt mixture, the high-temperature performance of the asphalt mixture is superior to that of the hot-mixed modified asphalt mixture, and the resilient modulus of the asphalt mixture is far higher than that of the hot-mixed modified asphalt mixture. Therefore, the high-modulus asphalt mixture has remarkable economic and social benefits.
