Abstract

The invention discloses a cluster range and inter-cluster communication mode dual self-adapting improved cluster method. In each cluster, at most three cluster heads, namely a master cluster head MCH, a slave cluster head SCH and a fusion cluster head FCH are responsible for management, wherein the FCH is responsible for intra-cluster data aggregation and fusion, the MCH and the SCH constitutes a cooperative communication node for being responsible for inter-cluster communication, and the SCH determines whether to participate in the inter-cluster communication according to the inter-cluster communication environment. The cluster method comprises forming the cluster, adjusting the intra-cluster transmitting power, adjusting the inter-cluster transmitting power and selecting a communication mode. According to the method, the probability that the node with very large residual energy value and very small maximal communication coverage area becomes the cluster head is effectively reduced, and the cluster range can be self-adaptively adjusted according to the change of the maximal communication coverage area distribution of the node in the network, thus ensuring that the clusters always communicate with one another; and the load of the MCH in the cluster is shared by introducing the FCH, and thus the life of the cluster structure is greatly improved with slightly increased cluster forming control overhead.
