Abstract

The invention discloses a visible light communication system and method based on an LED. The system is composed of a transmitting device, an optical antenna and a receiving device. The optical antenna comprises an optical transmitting antenna and an optical receiving antenna. The transmitting device comprises a transmitting master control module, an N-nDPAPM coding modulation module, N LED constant current drive modules and N LED light sources. The receiving device comprises a photoelectric detection module, a transimpedance amplifier module, an analog-to-digital conversion module, an N-nDPAPM decoding demodulation module and a receiving master control module. According to the system and the method, an N-nDPAPM modulation technology is employed, m-ary pulse amplitude modulation MPAM and n-dimensional pulse position modulation nDPPM are combined, therefore, the demand of a system for the bandwidth is reduced, the information transmission rate is improved, and the system reliability is improved.
