Benefits of technology

This patented technology provides an improved way to detect certain substances such as glucose or other chemicals that can be harmful when ingested over time through various methods like measuring blood sugar levels. By adding this special material into different food products during production it becomes possible to create effective ways to prevent these compounds from entering our bodies' circulatory system.

Problems solved by technology

The technical problem addressed in this patents relates to how to quickly and easily determine if orally taken medication contains specific ingredients called senefrin that may cause side effects such as breathing difficulties during sleep due to their ability to bind strongly to other substances found naturally within our body's organs like skin cells. This makes them difficult to use without being able to accurately identify which ones contain these compounds.

Abstract

The invention provides a method for electrochemically detecting synephrine by a polycurcumin-nickel-carbon nanotube paste electrode, and belongs to the technical field of detection of the synephrine. After a carbon rod is prepared into a carbon nanotube paste electrode, cyclic voltammetry scanning is carried out on a three-electrode system composed of the carbon nanotube paste electrode, a platinum-wire electrode and a calomel electrode in a mixed solution of a curcumin solution, a nickel-ammonia compound solution and a sodium hydroxide solution; curcumin is electrically polymerized and nickel (II) is deposited to form the polycurcumin-nickel (II)-carbon nanotube paste electrode; a linear relation between synephrine peak current and synephrine concentration is obtained through the polycurcumin-nickel (II)-carbon nanotube paste electrode by adopting a differential pulse voltammetry, so that the content of the synephrine can be determined. The method provided by the invention is simple to operate, realizes rapid detection and high sensitivity, and can be used for highly sensitively identifying the synephrine in the solution.
