The device comprises a chained STATCOM main circuit topology, an independent design scheme of a fundamental wave and harmonic wave compensation controller, and a DSP and FPGA-based master-slave type multi-CPU control system, wherein the chained STATCOM main circuit topology is used for realizing the reactive compensation tasks of fundamental waves and harmonic waves via an independent H bridge module by adoption of a decoupling principle; the independent design scheme in based on orthogonal characteristics of the fundamental waves and harmonic waves; and the DSP and FPGA-based master-slave type multi-CPU control system comprises a main controller which is used for realizing the acquisition and processing of signals and controlling the output of the signals and a split-phase controller which is used for completing the pulse generation and distribution.
