Abstract

The invention relates to a length detection device used for detecting length of LED (light emitting diode) terminal strips. The length detection device comprises a conveying line, a detection instrument, a retaining mechanism and a control device. The detection instrument comprises a fixing mechanism, a first detection optical fiber, a second detection optical fiber and a third detection optical fiber. By taking the third detection optical fiber as a benchmark, a distance between the first detection optical fiber and the third detection optical fiber is larger than that between the second detection optical fiber and the third detection optical fiber; the distance between the second detection optical fiber and the third detection optical fiber corresponds to a preset minimum length of a qualified LED terminals trip; the distance between the first detection optical fiber and the third detection optical fiber corresponds to a preset maximal length of the qualified LED terminals trip. The length detection device has advantages that by the three detection optical fibers which replace manual operations for product length detection, detection efficiency and precision are improved; due to arrangement of the retaining mechanism and the control device, unqualified products can be intercepted while alarming is performed, and alertness of operators is improved.
