The 8*8 off-road vehicle steering system is composed of steering oil cylinders (1), linear displacement sensors (2) and a control panel (3). Each steering oil cylinder is fixed to a chassis frame through two structural members (4). Hydraulic pressure is distributed to the steering oil cylinders through a distributor (5) and a pipeline (6). Each steering oil cylinder is provided with the corresponding linear displacement sensor. The steering oil cylinders are connected with steering rods (7). The steering rods are connected with suspensions through ball heads (8). The corresponding linear displacement sensor and each servo hydraulic pump (9) form a closed control system. A traveling computer matches angle data of a steering gear box (11) to the corresponding servo hydraulic pumps. The control panel is provided with a transmission control panel body and a steering control panel body. The steering method is suitable for the 8*8 off-road vehicle steering system.
