The system comprises a pressure and temperature acquisition module used for acquiring air pressure and temperature data in a valve core of a PE ball valve; a wireless signal transceiver used for receiving the data of the pressure and temperature acquisition module and forwarding the data to a host computer; and the host computer used for receiving the air pressure and temperature data forwarded by the wireless signal transceiver. The invention also provides a PE ball valve micro-leakage detection method. The method includes: the pressure and temperature acquisition module is installed in a valve core of a to-be-detected PE ball valve, the valve core of the PE ball valve is closed, and a preset air pressure value is remained in the air pressure in the valve core of the PE ball valve; the pressure and temperature acquisition module acquires detection data of the air pressure and temperature in the valve core of the PE ball valve at the same moment; and the micro-leakage condition of the PE ball valve is evaluated with the combination of the air pressure change gradient after temperature change correction according to the air pressure data change in the valve core. According to the system and the method, long-term detection of the pressure and the temperature of the valve core of the PE ball valve can be conducted, and the micro-leakage performance detection of the PE ball valve is realized.
