Abstract

The invention discloses a double-base MIMO radar angle estimation method in a spatial domain color noise background. The method comprises constructing a covariance matrix of receiving array data after matched filtering; constructing a propagation operator through the covariance matrix, and obtaining an optimal solution which is estimated by the propagation operator; obtaining array signal sub-space estimation according to the optimal solution which is estimated by the propagation operator; and finally obtaining a matched angle through a rotation invariance characteristic of the sub-space through a least square method. The double-base MIMO radar angle estimation method does not require high-complexity SVD operation or HOSVD operation, thereby realizing low operation complexity. Furthermore a DOD and a DOA which are automatically paired can be obtained. No further paring operation is required. The double-base MIMO radar angle estimation method is suitable for the spatial domain color noise background at any covariance matrix position and has high algorithm robustness.
