Abstract

The invention discloses a position adjustment device used for raw wood processing and a method of cutting timbers therewith, and relates to machinery design of raw wood breakdown equipment. The device is used through the steps of: 1) by means of supporting arms of an adjustment mechanism, holding a raw wood at an adjustment position and clamping the raw wood by fixtures from the two ends thereof for fixing the raw wood by means of the supporting arms of the adjustment mechanism so that the raw wood is stable and firm during a cutting process, and then performing first cutting; 2) after the first cutting is finished, withdrawing the supporting arms of the raw wood position adjustment mechanism, and controlling a rotating apparatus and a speed reducing apparatus of a raw wood rotating mechanism so as to rotate the raw wood by 90 degrees, and stretching out the raw wood position adjustment mechanism with supporting blocks still arranged horizontally, so that the supporting blocks can support the raw wood, and performing secondary cutting; and 3) according to the processes hereinabove, cutting the raw wood for the third time and the fourth time to finally cut the raw wood into a cuboid timber.
