Abstract

The threshold based low-complexity MPA algorithm specifically comprises the steps of inputting a baseband signal; initializing a variable node message; updating a function node and the variable node message; calculating the confidence degree of each codeword; and judging whether the codeword confidence degree meets a threshold or not, and determining to decode, discard or continuously iterate the codewords. According to the invention, codewords with the confidence degree being high enough are selected in the iteration process by using the threshold so as to be decoded, so that the number of users superposed at the same frequency point is reduced; and meanwhile, the codewords with the confidence degree being low enough are discarded, so that the search range required by message updating in the subsequent iteration process can be reduced, and the complexity of the algorithm is effectively reduced.
