Abstract

The invention discloses a system for lowering fan noise in the start-up process. The system comprises a manager controller BMC, a low-speed control unit and a fan. The low-speed control unit is used for generating a preset first pulse width modulation (PWM) signal after receiving an initial start-up signal, and further used for stopping outputting the first PWM signal after receiving a complete start-up signal and used for controlling the BMC to generate a second PWM signal. The starting speed of the low-speed control unit is larger than that of the BMC and that of a temperature sensor. The duty ratio of the first PWM signal is smaller than that of the corresponding PWM signal generated when the fan is controlled to rotate at a full speed. The fan is used for receiving the first PWM signal or the second PWM signal and adjusting the rotating speed to the rotating speed corresponding to the signal received by the fan. According to the system, it is guaranteed that the fan keeps the low initial rotating speed, and the start-up noise is lowered; and electricity consumption is reduced. The invention further provides a method for lowering the fan noise in the start-up process. The method has the beneficial effects the same as those of the above system for lowering the noise.
