Problems solved by technology

The solution of JP-H08-243776 also needs to adopt expensive suction device to suck away the harmful gas produced in the cutting process, for this reason it is necessary to set its own suction nozzle and the pipeline leading to the suction nozzle extending through the frame

Embodiment Construction

[0044] Reference numeral 1 designates an embroidery machine, in particular a large embroidery machine, with up to 1100 sewing needles 3 held on a needle holder 4 positioned in front of individual needle holes 5 in a needle hole plate 7 . A substantially cuboidal cover 21 is arranged above the sewing needles 3 , which schematically represents the cutting devices 9 . Leading to the cutting devices 9 are a compressed air line 11 for compressed air and drive means, an energy line 13 for a cutting mechanism 15 (diode laser 27 in this example) and a suction line also connected to the cutting device 9 17. The cutting device 9 is configured to be connectable to the embroidery machine 1 or to a support extending along the embroidery machine 1 (the support is not shown). The suction line 17 leading to the cutting device 9 is connected to a central suction device 19 extending along the embroidery machine 1 . The housing 39 (or at least parts thereof) located in the cutting device 9 can...

Abstract

The invention discloses a method in order to apply flat material pieces of desired shape to an embroidery base by means of an embroidery machine or sewing machine and a device for an embroidery or sewing machine in order on the embroidery base to cut out flat material pieces such as figures made from another material applied to the embroidery base. In the case of a method for cutting a material layer (47) on an embroidery base (45), a laser beam (51) is guided in a space (35), which space (35) is placed under negative pressure by suctioning off of air. The focal point (49) of the laser beam (51) is located in the material layer (47), which is located above the opening (41). At higher negative pressure in the cutting device (9), the material layer (47) is drawn to the opening (41) and comes to lie exactly at the focal point (49) of the laser beam (51) and is cut there. At lower negative pressure, only impurities and gases are suctioned off.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a method for sewing a flat cloth in a desired shape on an embroidery board by means of an embroidery machine or a sewing machine as described in the preamble of claim 1 . The invention also relates to a device for an embroidery or sewing machine according to the preamble of claim 7, which cuts a cloth placed on an embroidery board from a cloth sewn under embroidery. Background technique [0002] The embroidery machine in the present invention refers to a large-scale embroidery machine with thousands or more sewing needles, which is used to embroider embroidery patterns on an embroidery base that can extend over the entire length of the machine. Embroidery machines also refer to small embroidery machines and quilting machines with horizontal embroidery boards. A sewing machine for embroidery refers to a machine that also makes embroidery patterns on an embroidery base that is clamped in an embroidery frame and can be dr...
