Abstract

The invention discloses a method for estimating the rate of a heterogeneous millimeter wave cellular network. The method comprises the following steps: firstly, scaling a two-layer network corresponding to a small base station and a micro base station proportionally in the presence of a line-of-sight link and a non-line-of-sight link by taking a typical user terminal as a center, so that the two-layer network can be taken as a virtual single-layer network; and then, implementing scheduling of a signal through a macro base station according to the position of the typical user terminal in the network, allocating a nearest small base station or the micro base station to a user according to the virtual single-layer network, and providing a specific service for the user by the small size base station and the micro base station which communicate with each other through micrometer waves. Through adoption of the method, the average reachable rate of the network can be estimated. The influences of environment factors on millimeter wave communication are taken into consideration, a line-of-sight situation and a non-line-of-sight situation are distinguished, and a plurality of layers of millimeter wave networks are normalized into a single-layer virtual network, so that a base station which is nearest to the user in the virtual single-layer network is taken as a service base station of the user, and the rate estimation accuracy of the heterogeneous millimeter wave cellular network is increased.
