Abstract

The invention relates to a production process of a medium-carbon steel surface decarburization control hot-rolled wire. The production process comprises such main steps as blank preparation, heating treatment, rolling, spinning / coiling, cooling control (insulation and slow cooling), and packing. Such fine treatments as peeling and polishing are performed on a blank to remove a layer of scale on the surface of the blank, so that a decarburization layer on the blank is removed. The blank is formed by two fire; and one procedure is added to eliminate the surface defects and the decarburization layer. In the heating process, a relation of reaction between the blank and gas in a furnace is researched; and components of reaction residues are detected to control the gas atmosphere in the furnace to find out a reasonable gas-air ratio. The decarburization sensitivity of different steel types is researched; and the steps in the heating furnace and the air steps are adjusted to shorten the blank heating time. The wire is insulated after the spinning / coiling procedure; the depth of the decarburization layer is increased after insulation and slow cooling (equivalent to secondary heating); and a decarburization generation mechanism is researched to add protective gas in an insulation cover to prevent deep decarburization.
